How to clone VM in VMware

Here i give a brief idea about how to clone a VM in VMWare exsi

1. Machine-need-to-clone

2.Click-on-the-host

3.click-virtual-machines-tab

4.poweroff-vm

5.go-to-Configuration-tab

6.select-storage-from-it

7.Select-DataStore-to-create-vm

8.select-rootDir-Create-a-New-Folder

9.Name-new-dir

10.Then-select-the-machine-which-we-want-to-clone

11.Copy-vmxANDvmdk-files-from-there-to-new-folder-created

12.copy          

13.Go-to-newly-created-folder

14.Pasted-files-in-this-new-folder

15.copying-files

16.Finished-copying

17.Add-it-to-inventory

18.Enter-a-vm-name

19.select-a-resource-pool

20.Finish

21.Close-Data-Store-screen

22.Go-To-VirtualMachines-tab-again

23.Select-the-VM Machine-and-Edit Settings

24.Select-HardDisk-check-Disk-File

25.if-ok-cancel

26.poweron

27.open console 

28.Select-option-i-copied-it

29.Booting-rhel6

Set-Up Network configuration after Clone :-

 If Proper Device is not showing while running # ifconfig, Delete the previous entry of cloned device and Change the "NAME=" of new device.bcz error happens when we copied the files to new device to clone, bcz entries are updating in this device.

# ifconfig -a
# cd /etc/udev/
# cd rulrs.d/
  vim 70-persistent-net.rules

# PCI device .......
